Denture Repair

Fill In Your Smile.

If you have missing teeth it effects not only your appearance, but also your ability to chew, speak and swallow properly. Replacing missing teeth helps fill out your smile by giving support to the cheeks and lips. This creates a more youthful smile and vibrant appearance by holding up facial muscles.

Dr. Shah has been providing dentures and partial dentures for many years. She works with experienced, reputable dental laboratories who are skilled in creating custom teeth to fit your facial features and life style. The combination of a qualified dentist and a highly skilled laboratory will assure a comfortable, natural looking prosthesis. Do not be drawn into “specials” that offer greatly reduced fees. Most likely, you will get what you pay for. The discomfort and frustration of a poorly fitting denture would not be worth the savings.

Removable dental replacements, or dentures, are a common service that we provide for our clients. We provide both complete dentures (for when all teeth are missing) and partial dentures (for when some teeth are missing).

There are both conventional and immediate dentures. Conventional dentures are made after the teeth have been removed and are placed 8 to 12 weeks after removal. Immediate dentures are made in advance and can be positioned as soon as the teeth are removed.

Patients may need dentures for a variety of reasons. We promise to communicate with you throughout the process in order to provide you with the best dental care possible.

Dentures can solve a wide range of problems for patients who have had their teeth removed. Dentures can allow patients to use their mouths more normally again, like they were able to before losing their teeth.

Adjusting to your new dentures . . .

After placement of your new dentures there may be an adjustment period. You could experience, for a short time, changes in salivation and some difficulty speaking clearly and chewing solid foods (you will benefit from cutting food into small pieces – or eating soft foods to start). These symptoms will pass quickly and you will then begin to enjoy the great benefits of a healthy, beautiful new smile.

With a well fitting appliance, you should not need to use denture adhesive. Cleaning is easy! You will be given a special toothbrush and the recommendation of a cleanser especially designed for dentures. To clean, you simply remove the denture, clean as instructed, and then (if you choose not to wear it while sleeping) you will soak your appliance in a cleaning solution overnight.

Please call our office with any questions. OUR COMMITMENT is to help you achieve optimum dental health and a smile you are confident in.
